Our client is a commercial painting and wall-covering contractor covering California, Nevada, Oregon, and Arizona.

Background

The then newly appointed President of the company approached us shortly before their long-standing accountant was scheduled to retire. He wanted to use the opportunity to put more efficient processes in place, and to automate and digitize their accounting systems and reports.

The Challenge

As is the case with many long-time employees, they understand how everything works and what needs to happen, but oftentimes their processes aren’t documented. When it’s time to pass the baton a lot can get lost in translation and transition. The new President had the foresight to see what was coming and wanted to head it off at the pass.
